ICP Miami had no tested backup strategy and no visibility into whether their data was actually recoverable. INS implemented a 3-2-1 immutable cloud backup across all three locations — with the INS NOC monitoring backup health 24/7.

ICP Miami's backup posture before INS engagement was a single external hard drive at the Miami HQ — manually rotated, never tested, and covering only a fraction of their critical data. The Panama and Latin America offices had no backup at all.
A ransomware attack, hardware failure, or natural disaster at the Miami HQ would have been catastrophic. With no tested recovery procedure and no offsite copy of data, ICP Miami faced potential data loss measured in months — not hours. The leadership team knew this was a risk but had no clear path to fixing it without disrupting operations.
INS designed a 3-2-1 backup architecture for ICP Miami: three copies of data, on two different media types, with one copy offsite in immutable cloud storage. The immutable cloud tier uses object-lock technology — backup data cannot be modified, encrypted, or deleted by ransomware, even if the primary environment is fully compromised.
Backup agents were deployed at all three ICP Miami locations. Critical data — ERP databases, financial records, supplier contracts, and operational files — is backed up continuously throughout the day, with full snapshots every 24 hours. The 24-hour RPO means that in a worst-case scenario, ICP Miami loses at most one business day of data.
The INS NOC monitors backup job status across all three sites in real time. Any failed backup job triggers an immediate alert and investigation — ICP Miami's leadership receives a weekly backup health report confirming that all jobs completed successfully and that recovery tests passed. INS conducts quarterly recovery drills to verify that data can be restored within the agreed RTO window.
24-Hour RPO
Critical data is backed up continuously. In a worst-case scenario, ICP Miami loses at most one business day of data — not months.
Ransomware-Proof Storage
Immutable cloud storage with object-lock means backup data cannot be encrypted or deleted by ransomware — even if the primary environment is compromised.
All 3 Sites Covered
Panama and Latin America now have the same backup protection as Miami HQ. No location is left exposed.
NOC-Monitored 24/7
The INS NOC monitors every backup job. Failed jobs are investigated immediately — ICP Miami never discovers a backup failure during a recovery event.
